Garden Waste roadshows
Residents will have the chance to find out about getting their garden waste collected at roadshows being held in Witney. West Oxfordshire District Council is organising sessions on the following dates to give people the opportunity to find out about the Garden Waste Scheme: * Saturday 9th May: 10am -2pm, the Woolgate Centre, Witney * Saturday 16th May: 10am-2pm, outside the Corn Exchange, Market Square, Witney The Scheme costs the equivalent to just 3 per month and runs from May 2009 until the end of September 2010 (51 in total for 17 months). This cost includes provision of a wheeled bin. Collections are carried out fortnightly and all waste is composted locally, which reduces pressure on landfill sites and helps the environment. To find out more, or to sign up to the scheme, visit www.westoxon.gov.uk, call 01993 861020 or email [email protected]
